Shin Splints are Baaaaaaack

Just a heads up ladies.

Baaaaack.

Yup, I felt crappy after the speed workout yesterday morning. (something about my calf muscle having a 20 minute charlie horse... only remedy? a warm bath full of leg stretches) But I wasn't sure if it was just me. I went on a walk this afternoon, it started hurting. Decided to try running... Baaaad plan... especially without tape.

Holy.

Moly.

ladies.

Let's start an anti-shin splints prayer....well... I guess they are here, so that would be praying for a miracle. Let's pray that the tape, ibprofen and my undying will to finish the stupid 18 miler race will workout. Pah-lease. My first goal? To finish our 2-3 mile tempo run tomorrow. Wish me luck!

For the love. Stupid shin splints. I really need to find my magic wand again to get rid of those for you. ;) Let's add "new shoes" to the list of things to do. In fact, if you get your new shoes I will get you any treat of your choosing....diet pepsi, gummy worms....mmmmmm....

Cappy news! Try running on the grass as much as you can- it will help friend and reward yourself with NEW SHOES!!!

(and you know what treat sounds divine? caramel popcorn from Ms. Cavanaughs...hmmmm... we should reward ourselves with that after our 18 miler on Saturday)
