At least I'm not the only one who feels this way....

"I think there's only one sensible place for a person to be at 5:30 in the morning. That's in bed. And what am I doing? I'm out running. And I completely hate this. "

Derek Clayton, Australian marathoner, first to break 2:09

My road

So I was so excited about this blog I took my camera with me on my run so that you two can see my new sights....Amanda I apologize for my point and shoot camera- also I felt pretty stupid taking pictures of random stuff- I didn't want the mini van lady passing me again calling me crazy.

First we leave our house... then go down the street- through the woods pass the pond around the neighborhood, past some farms and then back home!

AMAZING

Lori this is the coolest thing! It will help me a ton I have been struggling actually running on my own it really takes all my self control to do it...being accountable to you and Amanda will be excellent for me.
Today(Tuesday) and tomorrow I am going to run 4 miles Friday will be my hill day and Saturday my goal is 8 miles. I will let you know how it goes!

Welcome Ladies

I figured this is a great way for us to communicate as we train for the marathon and the other half's that we're doing this spring/summer. We can compare our long runs, how we felt, areas we want to improve on... splits.... etc. I think it'll be an asset to have a running log too (at least that's what the books say, right?) So, this will be an excellent place to write down our "feelings" after our workouts (most likely: I feel like crap, but it's worth it right??) . Plus, we can post interesting articles we've found or training tips. Especially when me and the hubby up and move our family next year this is a way to help us keep training together. Since Erin lives an hour and a half away... that works too. Anyway... welcome welcome!!! First post? Tomorrow Amanda & I will be doing hill repeats....oh joy.....
