To Tri, Or Not To Tri...

...that is the question. As I've been looking at my year and setting goals, one question keeps arising. Do I train for a tri while Lori is still here and I have a training partner, or do I just say pffffft to the whole tri thing? To be honest, tri's scare me a bit...well really just biking scares me. Swimming is hard, but I know swimming. Running no longer phases me, but biking....well....every time I bike all I can do is picture myself getting hit by a car some place random that no one would find me. So I come to you my blogging friends and ask for your opinion. Do I just jump in and do it? Or stick to thie things I'm comfortable with? Hmmmmm...

my opinion is: you need to do what you feel is best. you've overcome your fear of things in the past, i know you can overcome your fear of biking, too. but you have to decide you want to.

i'm all about you doing a tri.. but i'm all about running the half with you too. and who knows, maybe i won't be able to do the tri afterall... so make your decision based on YOU not ME. you can do anything friend. yes yes, anything.

that's all. muah.

I'm also intimidated by tri's, but I agree with Lori; you have to decide for yourself because you are the one that is going to have to put in the training, but I think anyone can do anything they want to!

Biking is by far the scariest, because with running or swimming only something with YOU can go wrong. But I totally think you can do it. Mostly because if you can run a marathon, you can do anything! haha. Plus overcoming fears is always fun ;)

Why not "tri"??? heehee
I would do a triathlon in a minute, but the swimming in open water scares bejeebies out of me! I hadn't given much thought to the biking and getting hit part...hmmmm.
I say go for it while your training partner is here! Because that's what it's all about - loving support and encouragement from someone running, swimming, and biking beside you!
